Peace, Unity and Maturity

Ephesians 4:2-3 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

I believe chapter 4 of Ephesians is part of the challenge the Church needs right now. Peace, unity, and maturity!

Ephesians 4: 14-25
We are no longer to act childishly, tossed back and forth by waves and carried off by every wind of new teaching, brought by the trickery of people with deceitful plans. But practicing the truth in love, we are to grow up into the maturity of Christ, who is the head. So, I insist that you stop acting like the people around you, who live by the futility of earthly thoughts. They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God due to the hardness of their hearts. Because their hearts are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity. But this is not what you learned from Christ. You were taught to lay aside the old ways with every deceitful desire, to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on a new you, created in the image of God – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.

Therefore, let us lay aside falsehood and speak the truth with one another.

Lay aside falsehood. Practice the truth in love. Walk in wisdom and maturity. With all humility, gentleness, and patience, keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Amen!
