Investment Advice

Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction rather than silver; and my knowledge rather than pure gold.

Many economic gurus are saying there are bubbles in the investment markets and that the US dollar is being weakened by more and more debt. There is great uncertainty regarding the best investments. While I do not have any insider information into financial investments, Proverbs gives us advice about an investment that is better than stocks, real estate, bitcoin, or gold.

Does not Wisdom call out? Does not Understanding lift her voice!
At the top of the prominent places along the way, at the intersection she stands; Beside the entrance to the city and the doorways to houses she cries out:
“I am calling to all people! To the naive, I say – discover wisdom! To the foolish I say – find discernment! Listen to me, for I will tell you excellent things. My mouth speaks truth and my lips hate wickedness. All the words I utter are righteous; there is nothing in them crooked or twisted. All of them are clear – to the upright. They are upright to those who desire knowledge.
Receive my instruction rather than silver, and my knowledge rather than pure gold.”
For Wisdom is better than rubies. There is nothing you can desire that can begin to compare with her.

The standard of the people of God isn’t how passionate we are about any issue, nor is it how many verses we can quote. Jesus is our standard and the success of our lives should be judged by the degree to which we allow God’s wisdom to guide and control our actions. Wisdom has less to do with what we say, but how we say it and how we live it. The Church today suffers from a severe deficit of wisdom. Wisdom is offered to us, yet it isn’t given to us: we must seek it. We must invest time in discovering God’s very nature. We must lay down our amazing answers to problems all around and seek the treasure our world is lacking. “Father, forgive me for any foolish actions and responses. Reveal the true nature of Christ to me. May my life bring Your righteousness into this world.”
